Arthur M. Jackson founded Jackson Personnel Agency in 1970. Jackson Personnel Agency is established as one of the foremost temporary and permanent placement services in Northern California with a clear vision of diversity for all. As a result, for more then 37 years, thousands of job seekers in the Bay Area have been put to work.

The late Arthur M. Jackson served as President of the San Francisco Health Commission. He was a member of the Juvenile Justice Task Force evaluating the Youth Guidance Center in 1995. Additionally, Arthur spent two years as chairman of The United Way country campaign as well as being a very active member of the Board of Directors. He was President of the Board of the San Francisco Senior Centers, which has locations at Aquatic Park and on O’Farrell Street in downtown San Francisco. Arthur was Co-Chair of San Francisco Works and the Chamber of Commerce Welfare to Work program. In 1998 Mayor Willie Brown appointed Arthur to the San Francisco Commission on Aging, in which he served as President in 1999 and 2000. He also served as President of San Francisco’s Taxi Commission (2004—2006).
In January 2000, Arthur received a kidney transplant at CPMC after seven-and-a-half years on dialysis. Soon after the surgery, he was re-appointed to the San Francisco Health Commission. In November 2002, he was a candidate for the Board of Supervisors in District 6.
Jackson Personnel Agency and the legacy Arthur began over 37 years ago, is now headed up by his brother John I. Jackson.
